One thing we typically like to point out at RSL is the few times you will come across a “man-made” stone. Colored Obsidians that you will find at crystal shops typically fall into that category. There are naturally colored Obsidians out there: Mahogany, Snowflake, Sheen, and Rainbow Obsidians, which are all awesome. But your naturally, solid-colored Obsidian is really rare and really expensive.

So what you have here is volcanic glass that has been treated in different ways to give the desired colors. And like with everything, we all have opinions on crystals.
