Amazonite is a very interesting crystal because for the longest time, when you would see Amazonite in a crystal shop, you would see a mixture of green, tan, and black in most of the stones. Nowadays, you can really see this wonderful ‘feldspar flash’, similar to what one sees in Moonstone. So most pieces look like a green moonstone. We don’t like to “Grade” crystals because we feel like every piece has a purpose, however, to be technical the old, multi-colored version of Amazonite, while still beautiful, would be considered more of a “B” grade whereas this newer type we carry in the shops and here online would be considered “A” grade or higher.

Amazonite gives off a calming peaceful energy. It is similar to jade and other green/light green crystals in that it is associated with good luck, success, and abundance. Amazonite is nicknamed the “Gambler’s Stone” for this reason. Amazonite is also said to have a soothing effect on the nervous system.
